1 Introduction & Acceptance

Welcome to Bookkeepers Connect ("the Platform"). By accessing, registering an account, listing services, or engaging professionals through our website, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please refrain from using our services.

2 Platform Role & Engagement Scope

Bookkeepers Connect operates as an independent discovery, networking, and verification directory. We connect business clients (SMEs, startups, corporations, NGOs) with qualified bookkeepers, accountants, and auditing firms in Kenya.

Direct Engagement: Bookkeepers Connect is not an employer, partner, or joint venturer of listed professionals. Engagements, pricing agreements, deliverables, and service contracts are entered into directly between the business client and the professional or practice firm.

3 Professional Standards & Credential Verification

Finance professionals and firms seeking public directory discovery must undergo our compliance verification review. This includes submission of proof of qualifications (e.g. ICPAK, ACCA, BCom, CPA-K certificate), national identification, and KRA PIN certificates.

• Professionals agree to provide accurate, up-to-date credential documentation.
• Misrepresentation of qualifications or identity constitutes grounds for immediate suspension or permanent banning.
• Verified status confirms administrative document check and does not constitute an absolute guarantee of future work performance.

4 Membership Fees, Subscriptions & Payments

Searching and contacting professionals is free for business clients. Professionals and accounting firms pay transparent subscription tiers to maintain directory placement and receive leads.

• One-Time Registration Fee: Newly registering individual professionals and firms pay a non-refundable onboarding fee (KES 1,000) to cover document review.
• M-Pesa STK & Paybill: Payments are processed securely via Safaricom M-Pesa. Official digital receipts are issued immediately under your dashboard account.
• No Commission: Bookkeepers Connect charges 0% commission on client fees negotiated off-platform.

5 Client Reviews & Platform Moderation

Reviews left by clients must reflect genuine commercial engagements. Fake reviews, extortion, defamation, or unsolicited marketing will be removed. We reserve the right to suspend or ban any account that violates these standards.

6 Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any dispute arising in connection with the platform shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Kenyan courts.
